Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Bagel web application, Chrome extension, or API (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bagel is a customer relationship management (CRM) tool for managing outreach on X.com (Twitter). The Service includes a web dashboard, Chrome browser extension, and API for tracking contacts through customizable pipelines with automated triggers based on X activity.

3. Account Registration

You must sign in with a valid X (Twitter) account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and all activity that occurs under it. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

You grant us permission to access your X account data as described in our Privacy Policy, including tweets, likes, bookmarks, and direct messages, solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to spam, harass, or send unsolicited bulk messages on X
• Violate X's Terms of Service or API usage policies
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without authorization
• Introduce malicious code, viruses, or interfere with the Service's operation

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or X's policies.

5. Subscription & Billing

The Service offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Details of available plans and pricing are available on our pricing page.

• The free plan is offered without a credit card. Paid plans require a payment method at signup.
• Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or annually via Stripe.
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
• We may change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscriptions continue at the current rate until renewal.

6. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you create within the Service (contacts, notes, tags, pipeline configurations). We do not claim ownership of your content.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service. This license terminates when you delete your account.

You can export your data at any time by contacting support@usebagel.com. We will provide your data in a standard format (JSON or CSV) within 7 business days.

7. Service Availability

We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of planned downtime.

The Service depends on third-party APIs (X API, Clerk, Stripe). Changes to these services may affect functionality. We are not liable for disruptions caused by third-party service changes.

8. X API Compliance

Your use of the Service must comply with X's Developer Agreement and API Terms. The Service accesses X API data on your behalf using your authorized credentials. You are responsible for ensuring your X activity complies with X's rules.

X API access may be subject to rate limits and costs. We manage these on your behalf, but excessive usage may result in temporary limitations on sync functionality.

9. Chrome Extension

The Bagel Chrome extension operates only on x.com and twitter.com domains. By installing the extension, you consent to its detection of profile pages and interception of X API calls for the purpose of logging activities. The extension does not access data on any other websites.

10. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights (including X's Terms of Service).

12. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@usebagel.com. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless retention is required by law.

13. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account or by prominent notice in the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
